Math that inspires

Meet the person behind the keyboard

I am thrilled you found my blog page! I am Anthony Rossi, originally from Kenya but currently staying in Switzerland. My love for mathematics began in 2017 when I came across a dusty old book on set theory in the library. This book opened my mind to the idea that something as seemingly simple as “belonging” could be abstracted into the concept of sets. I found that there was an order and pattern to  mathematics that I had never noticed before. While I may not possess any extraordinary math abilities, the beauty and depth of the subject captivated me.

In the following years, I spent my free time exploring my newfound hobby further. I learned so many interesting things along the way. I discovered the elements of Euclid, Fermat’s last theorem, The Goldbach Conjecture, chaos theory, Russel’s paradox, different sizes of infinities, Riemann hypothesis, the Collatz conjecture, and so many other interesting things. While I didn't have the required foundational knowledge to fully grasp most of these topics, I still had an appreciation for the profound beauty and simplicity behind them. It is my goal through this blog to share that perspective with others and help them discover the elegance of mathematics. I will be sharing a wide range of content that I find to be inspiring. From cool theorems and unsolved conjectures to historical breakthroughs and current research. I will try to the best of my ability to present it in a captivating fashion. One particular quote that I like from G.H. Hardy says "Archimedes will be remembered when Aeschylus is forgotten, because languages die and mathematical ideas do not."

I welcome your feedback and encourage you to leave your comments and thoughts on the content I share.
